Becoming a bikini photographer takes trust. There are so many creeps out there looking to chat up girls in bikinis. They want to take creepy photos and keep them for themselves or their creepy friends.
Before we started bikini photography we had to work hard and develop a strong portfolio of images. We had to work and gain the trust of our models. We had to reliably produce images that resonated with the models and their agencies.
It takes hard work and authenticity. It takes skill, practice and integrity.
As with all shoots, there are some aspects of the swimwear/bikini photoshoot that you need to take special care with:
- Keep the model comfortable (cool/warm/covered or protected) including sunscreen, umbrellas and plenty of hydration.
- Keep an eye on the background to keep unwanted people and objects out of the picture.
- Monitor and watch the sun, clouds and weather patterns because most of our bikini shoots are outdoors.
- Protect the models’ modesty at all times. Sometimes unwanted people take an interest in the photoshoot. You have to be firm and polite with the unwanted attention.
